SaveSense uses Plaid, a trusted financial data platform used by thousands of apps and banks worldwide. When you connect your bank, you enter your banking credentials directly into Plaid's secure interface — SaveSense never sees, handles, or stores your username or password. We receive read-only access to your transaction history and account information. We cannot initiate transfers, make payments, or take any action that affects your funds.
Yes. Instead of connecting your bank via Plaid, you can upload PDF bank statements directly. Go to Dashboard → Upload Statements. You can upload up to three months of statements. SaveSense extracts your transaction data for analysis — raw PDF files are processed in memory and never stored on our servers. Only the extracted transaction records are retained, and you can delete them at any time.
SaveSense categorises your detected subscriptions into three groups:
SaveSense shows you what you're paying for — it cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf. To cancel, go directly to the merchant's website or app, or manage your subscriptions through your device's App Store or Google Play account settings. If you connected your bank via Plaid, removing a subscription from SaveSense does not cancel the underlying charge — you must cancel with the merchant directly.
Go to Settings → Delete Account. When you confirm deletion, your account, personal information, and all synced or uploaded transaction data are permanently and immediately deleted from our servers. This action cannot be undone. If you have an active paid subscription at the time of deletion, manage your subscription cancellation through the App Store or Google Play first to avoid future charges.
